House Baronetcy, Winchester Road
A newly completed, modern residence with high quality finishes on a sloping site, making full use of the entire visual panorama of Table Mountain and Table Bay. The house was built to complement the owners lifestyle and in full compliance with the strict Home Owners Design Guidelines. Although designed before the Energy Efficient and Sustainability Regulations were promulgated, the house incorporates compliance with the majority of these regulations.
Town House Newlands
A single bedroom, very compact Town House on a single residential erf for a dynamic and discerning young couple. Designed as a “lock up and go” residence, it has all the modern conveniences required. The design has taken into account possible future extension should the need arises. The house, being constructed on a very bad landfill, at places some 9 meter deep, required innovative structural solutions.
House Baronetcy, Penny Lane
A family home with a modern touch, in a well controlled, up market residential estate,with panoramic views over Table Bay. The sloping site enabled a design on 3 levels, but in a double-storey configuration with the main bedroom remote from the other 3 bedrooms, interlinked by the living areas.
House Port Owen
A holiday home for the families of two partners in a major construction company, providing individual sleeping “quarters” for each family, and combining the use of the living spaces. The design required the use of building materials, such as doors (including the imposing arched entrance doors) windows, kitchen and bathroom fittings,which were recovered from upmarket houses that were remodeled by the company. Although the house fronts directly onto the street, a very private, but large patio and courtyard is provided in the back garden area.
